1) FRIDAY!

2) Methinks the phrase "Vex Me" would make a most excellent button. Everything's shorthand and code for something. "Vex Me" says a very lot, straight up, on the rocks.

*twinkle twinkle*

3) I have approximately 72 hours to finish my application for the staff art show. Wish me luck.

4) Also, despite being surrounded by information and having mad skillz, have still not managed to make time to learn how to write a treatment. Rectify, rectify, rectify!

5) "Stuffed Animals Have Faces" is the number-one hit single by...the bar band [info]cynthtastic and I made up last night that I now do not remember. Shame!

6) And what was that guy's name, dear? Farnsworth...? Oh, I'm so dream-fogged, I cannot tell you.

*g*

7) Also, worked on the play. Funny how I can sit down to pages of my chicken scratch, look at it, say, "Nono, like this." And start banging out something completely different, yet exactly the same.

8) So, my characters now have last names and backstory (I do character sketches, always always, even if it never comes up in the actual script), and there were some pleasant surprises. Also, another character has horned in, wants to be there. He's an arrogant little snot, so I'm not sure how I feel about that.

9) And the damned villanelle kept interrupting. This had better be good. I'm just saying.

10) I did not make the staff trivia team. I will, however, get to be on the cheering squad. This is an acceptable compromise, as I still have a bad habit of trying out for things that I actually do not want. Why do I do that? And how can I stop?

Extra: [info]cdaisym, am still chuckling over "vampeeps," and will probably startle several innocent bystanders today with random inappropriate snickers over same.

Oh yeah. It's going to be one of those weekends. Bring it.

That is zestfully all.

I would wear it to work every day!

Seriously! I'd have to keep switching off with all my other button ideas, though, 'cos otherwise I'd look like a server at TGIFridays. ;)

Well, then maybe people would leave tips.....

Yeah, I don't think I want to encourage that. I'm a highly-trained independent scholar, damnit, not a pay-per-fact info-flunkie.

I'm also a teensy bit of a snob, in case you hadn't noticed. ;)

I think it would be fun to try to slip the term into conversations with patrons. Perhaps that will be my goal for the day ;)

How did that go? ;)

I did it mostly with other staff as I ended up being off-desk the rest of the afternoon. They all think I'm crazy anyway, so it didn't have too much of an effect ;)

I changed a few staff computer desktops to the pic of Fluffy and the Vampeeps and that got a lot of reactions.

All librarians are quite mad, I reckon. But we have more fun than just about anybody. Except Jack and Meg White, but, hey, something to aspire to. ;)
