I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record.

1) Good grief, how I do love being a librarian. If I ever stop feeling that way, I don't know what I'll do, given how much the thrill of the chase sustains me. Have been working on an art question for the past 48 (yes, with help - am not THAT proud - it's just tricky!), and it's utterly wonderful to lose oneself in the pursuit of an obscure painter.
2) Also like that whole "working on a presentation" ethos, where you're looking at things and weaving them together in your mind, before you even think about creating a slide.
3) Although why anybody would even want to use PowerPoint when there's GoogleDocs is beyond me. Yes, flash drives are light. But empty-handed is even lighter.
4) Found, in one of the streaming music databases, an album of cowboys bragging. Yep, that's it: cowboys bragging on themselves, and talking to their horses. Best. Album. Ever.
5) Yesterday's war protest had my after-work bus stop as its rendezvous point. The way the protestors and the so-called ordinary folk looked at each other is indicative of just how much trouble our country is in at this point. The palpable emotional salivation of the news crews, just itching to record a fight, is another.
6) Thoughts on spring.
7) William Blake, yo. Word.
8) Plot thickens in local animal shelter story.
9) Spent some time painting this morning. Life is still a mess, but today's the first day have regained confidence that it will not always be a mess. Or, at least, not always THIS mess.
10) Reading: The Modern Alchemist, Richard & Iona Miller
The plague seems to have lifted, too - at least, my head no longer feels like a bowling alley. If one must suffer to learn, am resolved to at least have cuter pajamas for the next stint of woe.
*wry smile*
That is up from the floor and out the door-ly all.
